Unions have repeatedly shown us that the most effective way for people to be treated equitably by corporate interests is to organize and fight together for what’s right. I was proud to spend my Labor Day marching in solidarity with our strong Boston unions and the workers who make our city tick.

Even though the temperature was approximately 140 degrees, that didn’t stop Team Weber from grilling up hundreds of dogs and burgers for our friends at the Mildred Hailey Apartments. Everyone pitched in to make this annual hot dog night our best yet.

Two memorial bicycle rides for Louisa Gag this eve. One starts at 5:30 at Fern Triangle in Allston to the Trader Joe's in Coolidge Cor. at 6, down Longwood to Tremont and Parker for a vigil. The other leaves Adams Park in Roslindale at 5:45 and Forest Hills at 6 for the ride to Tremont and Parker.

Had a great tour of Billings Field with reps from the Parks Dept. The project is on track for a partial opening in Nov. The courts, including street hockey, the ramp from Bellevue St, + the walking paths will all be open. The grass will need to take root and will be ready in spring 27.
