Ooh, I really enjoyed this atmospheric novel from Kirsty Ferry! Isn't that cover gorgeous! I really enjoyed the first of Kirsty's witchy books for Boldwood, The Witch's Stone, but I think I liked this one even more. Like the first book, this has its roots in history and in local legend. In the present day, Violet is a historian who is researching the legend of the Snow Witch, a quest which takes her onto the snowy Northumbrian moors and to Coventina's Well.

From about 30 minutes before sunrise the colour in the sky was glowing on the trees in the lane here in Glastonbury. The colour then developed over the next 40 minutes with the most beautiful golden sunrise from the top of the Tor. All in order they were taken today.
