Christians against empathy are anti-Christ, in the most literal form possible. They are defying the basic message of the Red Letters. Fascism cannot survive solidarity and compassion, which is why they are working so very hard to make sure you’re too tired, too worn, too demoralized to care.

I think more people should read books that make them depressed and sad and feel emotions they aren't comfortable with, actually I think it's a great way to introduce yourself to new emotions, ideas, and a useful way to learn critical thinking skills yknow, kinda the whole point of assigned reading

A key point in Fahrenheit 451 is that books were banned because they made people depressed and uncomfortable. The novel's protagonist, Montag, is taken into custody after he reads a poem that makes a woman cry because she realizes the emptiness of her life.

Books are bottled empathy. They’re telepathy in physical form. Fiction makes us better people because it gives us a safe place to experience and learn to care through the most complex pain. Remember: fascists have designated empathy a sin & moral failing. They don’t want you caring for anyone.

Jorge was an artist I looked up to since my childhood. The Book of Life was one of my favorite movies that I showed to anyone and everyone I possibly could. His art and unique style are irreplaceable, and I'm devastated to see he's chosen to trade the respect he's earned for whatever this shit is.

1/3 - Gutierrez got back to us to explain more clearly his involvement with the project, and how he plans to use the tech: "It’s a big experiment for me, and I will be as cautious as possible with AI. Artists driving tech, and not the other way around, is my goal..."

Been seeing a lot of fairy/pixie art and it's inspiring me to do some myself But also I want to get better at drawing old people so I can draw my grandma OC fixation
