Geno spoke on record. They saw situation with Pete and Chip Kelly and Tom Brady and saw it a better alternative for him. He really liked coach Mike. Issue was lack of commitment from the team. Schneider always felt lukewarm on him.
Details and quotes from geno in Albert Breers story on Geno trade are really good. -he confirms he orchestrated his way out and why they didn’t negotiate back. Geno says wasn’t only about money. Seattle’s offer had too many outs/did not break precedent. He didn’t like that.

This was excellent . I loved the section of the Colts/Grigson esque free agency period on the Vikings. The execs seem to be fine with the Seahawks pivot more than i was expecting.

there are bigger issues why the team wasn’t going anywhere but Geno isn’t the easiest personality to manage. Hard headed dude; tweets like a WR, chip on his shoulder, it’s what makes him good honestly Will be nice to have low maintenance QB I imagine. Haven’t really had that since Hasselbeck.
