Finding Dee Fish

FINDING DEE is the semi-autobiographical look at the ins and outs of coming out as a middle-aged, transgender cartoonist just trying to make it in comics, find a little success, and a safe place to PEE! findingdee.com
I have a question. Let's just say that I'm planning a DAREDEVIL Homage for an upcoming Finding Dee strip. Which classic Daredevil artists should I pattern the art after? A: Frank Miller & Klaus Janson B: Gene Colan & Tom Palmer C: Joe Quesada & Jimmy Palmiotti D: John Romita Jr. & Al Williamson
And with THIS strip, we finish out this crossover lead-in to Adventures in Dungeoneering! I hope you’re enjoying the NEW comic, and Finding Dee will be returning to "normal" next week. Thanks for indulging me with this fun little birthday celebration for Dandy Q. Dog. :)
Last year, just after the NCS Reuben Awards weekend in Boston, Heidi and I drove to Salem to check off one of her bucket-list items! Twas a fun time.
And now that Dandy's been officially deposited in the mythical realm of "Urth," we can begin in earnest! This is it, strip ONE of Sabrina and my new comic strip, ADVENTURES IN DUNGEONEERING! Check it out every Tuesday and Thursday at adventuresindungeoneering.com!
In truth, we PROBABLY could have squeezed right into Dandy's first strip over in Adventures in Dungeoneering after the last strip, but I wanted to end this little mini-story arc a little differently. FYI, Finding Dee will be back to "normal" next week. Or, for $3 backers on Patreon... right now.
Sold out of my stock of book 1: Lycanthropy and the Single Girl! Always a good problem to have.

Finished the cover to the SIXTH novel in the Havenwolf Chronicles: Children of the Silver Circle. This might be my new favorite of the covers I've painted for this series. Hope you all like it. 🧡🐺 (Also, BOB ROSS TREES FTW!)
Let me preface this by saying that a LOT of running stories in comics are built up on a small handful of repeating core ideas. THIS comic is no different. "Dee has creative block.", "Dee is anxious about using public restrooms.", "Look, it's something about boobs.", etc.
Started the painting for the cover to book 6, Children of the Silver Circle! Hope to finish it up tomorrow here at Porch Music Store for Applefest® !
As with ALL of the covers I've painted for my novel series, the Havenwolf Chronicles, this will undoubtedly get some digital tweaking once I scan it in. But for now, here's the cover for the next book in Claire's story: The KEEPERS of the BLOOD! (Coming in 2027)
If you're in Franklin, Pa for Applefest®, be sure to come to Porch Music Store! I'll be here with comics, , novels, and more AND I'll be painting the cover to the next novel in the Havenwolf Chronicles LIVE! HOPE TO SEE YOU HERE!!
Hey, little girl, do you need a flyer? An' you don't want to pay a graphic designer? Oooh, I got a BAD design. Oh oh oh, crappy AI Flyer.
A random Snoopy kaiju doodle from last year, just 'cuz.
If you're in the Franklin area on Saturday, October 3rd, for Applefest, be sure to stop by Porch Music Store, where I'll have all 4 Havenwolf novels! & will be painting the cover to book 5! If you can't make it, you can order copies in softcover, hardcover, or for Kindle at havenwolfchronicles.com
Wow! 76 years ago, Charles M. Schulz's PEANUTS premiered in newspapers and changed the game in so many ways! It was, and remains, one of my own primary influences and guiding stars, and I love it more every year!
So, with yesterday's strip, Dandy has officially moved into his NEW comic home. Meaning that ADVENTURES IN DUNGEONEERING can officially begin! Check it out every Tuesday and Thursday at: adventuresindungeoneering.com
I'm not saying that I may have ALREADY bought a new Charlie Brown Christmas tree ornament... but... uh... yeah. I have already bought a new Charlie Brown Christmas tree ornament. lol
It’s RARE that I alter the template, but I REALLY wanted to do these tall panels to showcase the idea of Dandy falling, and I’m pretty happy with how it came out. I mean, DANDY isn’t all that happy, but I can’t really blame him. After all, this ISN'T his first portal fall. To be continued…
Change is constant for Claire Gribbald. She's a werewolf, a friend, and a survivor. Now, as a member of the Eyes of Luna, she's a protector. Will she be strong enough to save a young, newly made wolf accused of murder? #shamlessselfpromo #werewolf havenwolfchronicles.com
Yeah, I seriously have ZERO balance and should never try doing ANYTHING that requires manual dexterity, balance, or delicacy. I truly am a danger to all around me. I can stumble standing still.
While pondering a program to watch, I suggested Trek and Heidi recommended we restart Next Gen, so we are starting from the beginning. Halfway through the episode, I look at Facebook at random and I see that TODAY is the 39th anniversary its premier! That is SUCH a weird coincidence!
I suppose that for folks who hoped I'd be bringing the ENTIRE old comic strip back, this might be as disappointing as it is for Dandy here. But I REALLY hope you enjoy the madness Sabrina and I have been cooking up when ADVENTURES IN DUNGEONEERING premieres this October. :)
Been reading a lot of Sergio Aragonés stuff, and felt like drawing Groo. Because Groo is awesome.
Our home RARELY needs all that much help to get into the spirit of Halloween. Lol

A bit of fun fan pandering... fandering... that I did for the strip a couple of years ago! Like whatever they heck you like, peeps. Interest isn't gendered.
