Today’s Supreme Court ruling was about procedure, not whether Trump’s layoffs are constitutional. But 7 of 8 justices chose to let Trump terrorize federal employees. They let him ransack agencies staffed with valued experts. The Court is allowing the country's descent into Trump’s fascist fantasy.
The thing to understand is that district court judges have to follow the law and Supreme Court Justices get to just make up the law.
Every Supreme Court ruling is “look, we’re not saying what Trump is doing is legal, we’re just saying we, the highest court in the land, will not stop him, and will prevent others from doing so.” They *know* it’s not legal, so they find other ways to allow it.
I mean, great. Yes, more prominent people calling out fascism is good. But Joe Rogan has absolutely inundated Americans with misinformation and is one of the key people responsible for the electoral outcomes that brought this on.
