i wanted ramen after gym today with my sister so i could feel better about myself but the restaurant declined my PWD card bc im not registered at the department of health when this has never happened to me before anywhere else. the bill had to be paid in full. now im just even more pissed
i just opened my instagram to find out that freaking shawn wasabi (we're mutuals on ig/twt yippiee) reached out in my dms saying he saw the discourse i caused on twt but still stands by me. im relieved but also it's REALLY gotten so bad huh
its becoming more and more clear to me that twitter is a dangerous place to be in and literally anything i ever say will be twisted into something else i never even insinuated and spread as lies completely missing my point. in short literally this pancakes/waffles situation
twitter is so scary sometimes (i made a tweet about how locals used to make fun of me for not speaking tagalog fluently when english is my first language despite being full filipino and it's exploding so fast)

it's weird how The Lovers and Lesbian Space Princess, and also Princess Guinevere and IDWTBAMG, indie/indie adjacent projects by small teams creating stories about queer women, are all getting shat on left and right by progressive animation fans for every possible fault it's just weird. weird!!!

look, i liked The Lovers, i think it's impressive on a technical level. but what i don't like are non-filipinos dismissing the criticisms pinoys have abt its cultural inaccuracies. you can like the film but also listen to the ppl who grew up in the culture saying that "this part isn't correct"

"The Lovers" is probably one of the best looking Filipino animation by far, and I keep seeing myself admiring the beautiful colors, animation, and storytelling. I love how you can FEEL a lot of emotions in every frame here. Simply just gorgeous in every minute.
