Today at City Council we voted to crack down on bad landlords and put landlords with repeated, multiple infractions on notice. We’re forcing bad landlords to fix what’s broken and if they don’t, we’ll fix it for them and send them the bill.

It’s not news to anybody that Toronto’s garbage bins are badly designed. They’re kind of ugly and they’re always broken. For something that we see and use everyday, we have to do better. That’s why I’m happy that fixing them is finally on the agenda ✅
I’ve heard from riders of the 47 Lansdowne bus that there have been some significant delays along the route, so I’ve been working with the TTC to make some adjustments to make the ride much smoother. Service is expected to improve by the end of this month.
I’m so happy to share that the proposed 2026 budget includes funds to build a key east-west connection between Antler and Lappin streets.
It’s snowing again in Davenport ☃️ We’re tracking progress and tackling any problems on snow clearing. Thank you to City crews for their hard work. Let me know where we need fixes at alejandrabravo.ca/snow ❄️
Toronto is making progress bringing people indoors and building new affordable housing — but we can’t do it alone. My op-ed with Councillor Gord Perks is in today’s Toronto Star. www.thestar.com/opinion/cont...
It was a great to join OMNI television and host Sergio Mourato to discuss the City of Toronto’s 2026 budget and key investments in the city services we rely on every day. Want to learn more about the 2026 budget process? Join me at my Budget 101 Community Briefing: www.alejandrabravo.ca/budget_2026
Mayor Chow announced her 2026 budget plan earlier this month. The budget committee is now reviewing the plan, hearing deputations, and gathering public feedback before City Council considers the budget on February 10. 1/

My statement on Bondi Beach massacre in Australia
It was great to join Mayor Olivia Chow to announce fare capping in 2026. After 47 rides, the rest of the month is free! This win for transit riders reflects years of community advocacy for a fairer system. I will continue to support and work to lower the cap so that transit remains accessible.
Our new tote bags celebrate so many of the things that make Davenport special ✨ Make sure to pick one up at one of our upcoming community events like our Year End Skating Party on December 14th from 1:00 - 3:00 at the Giovanni Caboto Rink.
At the November Toronto and East York Community Council meeting, I introduced resident-supported motions for new traffic-calming on Davenport streets. These measures will help slow drivers and improve safety, especially after the Province removed Ontario’s speed cameras.
Join us at our Skating Party on December 14th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm at the Giovanni Caboto Rink 🧣⛸️❄️

It was great to meet with residents in the St. Clair and Dufferin area to discuss street cleaning and maintenance issues facing the community.
You shouldn’t have to take out a loan to see the Blue Jays play in the World Series. Let's bring back fairness and transparency to ticket sales so that baseball games, FIFA matches, concerts, and other live events are accessible to the people who make them special: the fans.
Voting is easy! I voted early in the provincial election at Davenport’s local Elections Ontario office. 📍 Dufferin Mall Food Court ⏰ Mon - Sat: 10AM-8PM & Sun: 12-5PM (until Feb. 26 at 6PM) You can also vote in advance (Feb 20-22) or on Election Day (Feb 27) at a polling station.
I checked in with some neighbours who phoned my office because plows still haven’t come. Even with a big storm, we should be able to count on snow getting cleared—instead, people are doing it themselves. 🚜 Let me know if your street is still waiting: alejandrabravo.ca/snow
Good news for arts in Davenport: the City has acquired the 20 affordable homes for artists at 38 Abell St. which were at risk because of the Artscape receivership. We also announced our investment of $180k to Propeller Gallery, to bring their space into community ownership.
This is the ambition of partnership that Toronto needs from the Ontario government. We need more funding for the real solution to homelessness: deeply affordable and supportive housing. www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...
