If an android screams in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

well, imagine the shock when (not if) Chinese companies make these mirrors mundane everyday object of our life. All these "impossible to replicate little secrets" are impossible to replicate little secrets because nobody really cares to spend some money, time and effort to replicate them.

We already have superintelligences that have taken over the planet: we call them organizations. Example from: www.noahpinion.blog/p/what-will-...

manual coding is like going to the gym. you need lifting, easy cardio, hard cardio/HIIT, stretching, isometrics, etc, because each targets different subsystem/quality. Same with mental exercise: some high level arch/planning/strategizing, some low-level messy details, some code golf, some poetry

There is another idea that continuously return in my head recently: we should not stop writing code by hand. But this code will be like poetry. Small programs that are outstanding either because of style or new ideas introduced. Code you may print and frame on your wall.

Imagine this girl interviewing 27 members of jihadi terror groups in remote areas of Nigeria and they are all are like 18-20 yo guys with iphones flashing ChatGPT and telling totally not exaggerated stories. All "commanders", all former but with recent stories. Why former btw? AI helped to convert?

TIL that Boko Haram are related to Nigerian princes and that US journalists would definitely wire that deposit to secure prince's inheritance
