The first three games of the World Cup knockout round have all been down to the wire. Can’t ask for better.
Since revenue sharing started in college athletics, I’ve said tennis would be the most in danger. The floodgates have now opened. I expect a lot of schools to replace the sport with flag football at some point. It’s cheaper and has NFL financial backing.

Received an email from a 15-year-old softball player. Her mom got laid off and she didn’t want to ask for money to play. “I don’t want my mom to worry or feel guilty. She’s stressed enough.” @goods4greatness.bsky.social paid the fee and ordered new cleats, pants, and a better glove.

I’m not anti-transfer and there are valid reasons for athletes to leave, but I truly believe most would benefit more by staying at one place. Maybe I’m old school, but building lasting relationships, learning how to find a role & dealing with adversity are vital life skills. It goes beyond sports.
