There is no ethical consumption of Harry Potter. And not in the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" way. In the "your fandom is now comprised of hate symbols" way.

And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

I want more anime arena fighters. There are a ton of anime that’d be great source material for fighting games, and given the lack of expectations on balance, I imagine arena fighters would be one of the easier avenues for creating them.

A lot of shows get called "Cute Girls Doing Cute Things" just because the cast is mostly or entirely women. Sometimes this goes a step further and people complain that the show is bad because it doesn't actually fit the genre

My most 'Boomer Take' is that fast food menu signs that stop showing the menu to show you a commercial are a legit step backwards. I want a milkshake, I want to know what flavours you have, why did it change to a chicken sandwich wallpaper while I was reading it???
I hate this fucking shit. Even when they show the menu it's not the whole thing. I have to ask the workers if they even still sell this item or that, it's fucking ridiculous. This isn't a boomer take, this is something very basic and functional that's been made objectively worse for no good reason.

I'd rather spend my time doing deep dives on specific yuri stories or talking up my faves than doing miserable fandom discourse, the problem with that being that the miserable fandom discourse is everywhere and tends towards scaring people away from yuri in the first place.
