Today we almost lost a lot of data in the in-house lab database because hundreds of files were accidentally deleted. Luckily we could recover them from a backup. I think a safer interface design and keeping backups are very important

We’ve been building a personal lab knowledge system that connects protocols, materials, lab notebooks, raw data, and my own literature notes. I’m curious how AI will change the way scientists accumulate and reuse knowledge. I don’t know where this will end up, but I thought it might be interesting

And, for those of you who are interested in making gRNAs against gene introns for NHEJ-mediated knock-in, we also made lists guidelines and genome-wide lists of gRNAs for human and mouse. For more details, please visit rnabio.naist.jp/atlas/

knock-in atlas: a web resource for targeted protein trap by CRISPR/Cas9 in human and mouse cell lines url: academic.oup.com/nar/article/... Our knock-in atlas paper is out! The collection now has >600 entries for 350 proteins (239 RNA binding proteins) tagged with the Venus fluorescent protein

Want to tag a protein in cell lines? Check out our new preprint and website <https://yumahanaiatokamuralab.shinyapps.io/KnockInAtlas/>. We made a catalogue of gRNAs against human/mouse introns for inserting artificial exons for protein tagging at endogenous loci.
