All summer long we tried to stay out of the sun but now that cooler days are here I long to feel the sun on my face.

Lifelong Democrat living in very red north Georgia. Gardener. Golden Retriever family. Protecting wildlife protects our lives. NO DMs. "Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America"- the great Georgian John Lewis
When Ramaswamy weaponized Amy Acton's child rape Vance said "politics is a tough business" and told people to "stop whining." When two Dan Sullivans are running on the ballot in Alaska Vance said Mary Peltola committed a "moral failing". Make it make sense.
American Burnwood not an unwanted guest in my garden. 🌱
This gave me goosebumps!! Woody Harrelson’s “ad” for Exxon. #globalwarming #climatechange
Beautiful reminder.
The Cottage Garden@simonecannon.bsky.social · last wk.In these fraught world news days, we all need a little something to show us that there is still a lot of #love in the world. The striking Petunia amore aka Queen of #hearts, with its heart-shaped petal pattern reminds us that beauty and love conquer all 💕 #bloomscrolling #garden #gardening #flowers
Always such a thrill when Monarchs stop by in Georgia on their way to Mexico.
Unbelievable transformation from MTG but I'll take it. #VoteHarrisGeorgia

Chrysanthemums and morning glories blooming in the afternoon.
Georgians please vote. We are lucky to have Jon Ossoff represent our great state.

Whenever I'm feeling demoralized, I think of my parishioner John Lewis. He had no reason to think that he would win when he was crossing the Edmund Pettus bridge. But he just kept walking. We MUST keep walking.
A Tennessee Warbler (I think) stopping by for a drink and a wash.

On what would have been his 102nd birthday, I’m thinking of President Jimmy Carter. As a patriot, a humanitarian, and a leader who centered human rights, he embodied what it means to make your faith come alive through public service. His legacy will long outlive us all.
One more rose struggled to bloom to end the season. A tough year for gardens and gardeners. With nobody taking global warming seriously it’s just going to get worse.
Today 29th Sept is Michaelmas day ..these Asters are known as Michaelmas daisies as they flower around now , in Wales its known as " Haf Bach Mihangal " which means Michaels little summer as its often warm around that time ..warm and humid today so the weather got it right for once
Now that AI is officially SI and therefore needs no guardrails I hope it will hack into Trump and his minions’ wealth and distribute it to all suffering people around the world and Trump will be left begging on the streets and nobody will care.
