I don't believe in the death penalty except for the guy who implemented infomercial length ads into YouTube.
Got my hands on an Italian deck of cards and now I just have to trick people into playing Italian card games.
Played a couple games tonight. Brass is a staple but the other game is uh... Well, it was technically a board game.
I'll never understand the average League player - calling me a "bot" for casting Malzahar's incredibly complex ult as soon as they're in range and calling me "bad" for not killing them... But making them back so many times they're down 40 CS, 3 levels and 4 tower plates.
Layla has me pinned down and is starting to drool on me. Send help.
Surgery is wild in that you can get used to the various areas of a hospital but never the operating room. I was cool as a cucumber until they brought me into a sterile room playing Michael Buble Christmas music and something in me said "death happens here"
No James Bond update today - unfortunately gonna have to delay until tomorrow but I will do a double feature.
I've always had a fascination with the James Bond films. While I'm not the biggest fan, I've been known to enjoy a film or two in the series. For the holidays I thought it would be fun to watch all the films once a day up until Christmas. Welcome to the 25 Days of Bondmas.
Heretic wasn't quite as good as I was hoping, but Hugh Grant did a great job as a villain.
Gonna work on following all the people here I was following on Twitter and then I'm just gonna abandon that site. Let em have their fun.
Local game store just had this casually sitting in a pile. Love coming to this store so much for exactly stuff like this.
The classics. Couldn't do it any other way.
I feel like pickles have become the new bacon in that people keep trying to infuse that flavor no matter the situation. Ain't nobody out here actually asking for pickle goldfish.
Get yourself on a first name basis with your FLGS.
One of the best feelings as a DM is having the whole table go "oh fuck you" after a big reveal.

Excited to head back to PAX East this year. Last time I went to one was right before the pandemic started. Hopefully I still have the energy to do the full 4 days...
Got my first new monitors for my computer since 2008. Not really sure why I took so long... They aren't particularly fancy monitors but it's definitely a massive upgrade from what I had before.
One of the things I love about my cat is that after she's been fed she comes into the bedroom and bullies my wife until she gets out of bed just so she can sleep on that side.
I did not expect the first movie to make me cry in years would be Godzilla Minus One.
Secured PAX East tickets already. Now I just gotta wait until March...
About to have a double day of 18xx with @heavycardboard.bsky.social - we're starting with 18OE and moving to 18Ches after. Should be a light day
Big dog: [exists] Much smaller dog: first of all, how dare you
Baldur's Gate 3 is certainly a marvel of a game. They really managed to make something that's similar to D&D while still being very much a video game experience. You still get that sense of awe exploring a world and unraveling a mystery but if you make a mistake, no worries, just press F8!
Heading into Boston to see Depeche Mode on Halloween sounds pretty good
Not sure how people played a Bard in Baldur's Gate 3 and their key take away was that it wasn't fun/good/useful. I'm level 3 and not only are most skill checks trivial; there are certain skill checks that I am basically guaranteed to pass. Also you get Speak with Animals AND Detect Thoughts.
