Here to post and read some posts with my friends! Mostly #Orioles misery, sporadic #Mets misery, surprising #Knicks and #coyg joy? 📰 -> oriolesreview.com
Shane Baz has been, by most measures, the best starting pitcher on the Orioles this year, and I still feel like he hasn’t quite put it all together yet. Very happy to have him locked up.
I can’t imagine a worse situation to ask Pete Alonso about the Adley trade. Ban on the field interviews and ban national broadcasts while we’re at it.
Trades should be allowed after the Aug. 4 deadline if I approve them
Stick Figure Jefry Yan, strikeout celly 🐦 https://x.com/_dadler/status/2085389526633984354
Enddy Azocar is 2-2 with a double and triple so far tonight for the Keys. That makes 9 straight games with multiple hits, and his OPS is up to .919. The kid can’t be stopped.
6 scoreless innings for Joseph Dzierwa tonight. 4 H, 0 BB, 9 K. ERA down to 2.07. Sheesh.
The Mets are helping the Orioles out again. Some runs would be nice.
SS Wehiwa Aloy hit two home runs in the first game of the Boysox doubleheader yesterday, and walked twice in Game 2. It’s just nine games, but so far he’s holding or improving on his A+ walk rate, strikeout rate and isolated power. BABIP has come down a bit.
How could they not have at least grabbed a good reliever or two at the deadline? This is going to piss me off as long as they’re in contention, and even longer if they barely miss the playoffs.
Yes, “Chayce McDermott gets the win to send the Orioles to within half a game of a playoff spot” is a sentence I would have expected to hear if you’d asked me 5 months ago.
Not sure if you’ve noticed but Dylan Beavers has been sub-replacement level and trails all orioles outfielders in WAR and defensive value.
Tyler Wells comes on with runners on the corners and two outs for the Rays and gets a four-pitch strikeout against TJ Rumfield. Fouled off cutter, change, cutter and then swung through a very elevated cutter for strike three.
Franklin hit .324/.458/.571 in about 130 PA vs. LHP at last year at AAA. Down to .234/.398/.325 in a smaller sample this year, but the OBP skills are still evident if he can hit enough.
Christian Franklin is leading off and playing center field tonight for the Orioles against a lefty, which is cool for him. He showed off his skill set in his debut last night. An interesting player to watch, for sure
Not to be embarrassing (can't help it) but just watch Caden Hunter's first inning from last night to get a sense of what that arm is like. www.milb.com/live-stream-...

Loved seeing Christian Franklin get his first stolen base last night. But just to manage expectations, he’s not a burner. Average to above average speed, plenty of guys faster than him on the team. But what he does have is great instincts and a strong “baseball IQ,” and that makes him a threat.
