#peachtober #2dart #specevo My take on the Chimney prompt, heavily inspired by Barlowe's striders in Expedition, and second favorite creature design I've come up with over the past few years. More in alt-text

Violet pillars of chitin marched through the glacial field, absorbing any water and nutrients they could filter through the many esophageal intakes of their feet as lichen-rich ice bent and cracked to each step. The heat generated within their thick-shelled bodies set aflame all caloric intake for digestion, spewing out plumes of thick, grey-black smoke from dorsal chimneys as waste removal. Birds flocked on and around them, filter feeding off the detritus within the ash as Sparrow-tails gathered below to take advantage of the ambient heat.

There are technical aspects I think I could've done better here - especially regarding the smoke's rendering - but overall I really enjoyed creating this piece and am so glad I was pushed into continuing my trend of trying to really think outside of the box, coming up with an absolutely massive animal that has literal chimneys on its back. I had originally thought of doing a more mundane piece centered on something I had seen regularly on my way to and from work, but this is so much more satisfying to me.

I also fully admit that this is heavily inspired by the work of Wayne Barlowe and his wonderful book Expedition. Those familiar will instantly catch what I'm referencing with this piece, and he has greatly informed my sense of creature design over the past few years.

Musically I'm not really sure on this one. Normally I can sit down with a piece, find some music for it and go "Yes, this is the music that matches what I'm aiming for!" But I just really *couldn't* here. However, since it became a tradition in my personal circles to always recommend some music with each challenge piece, I will do so anyway by pointing you to one of my all time favorite dungeon/dino synth albums: Slow and Heavy Tyrannic edition by Diplodocus. Its vibes are superb and late 90s sense of documentary music editing is quite lovely.

I couldn't resist after the last story I wrote for @bittenbun.bsky.social , so here's another story about their Anri and my Veronica on a camping trip! Gals being pals!! archiveofourown.org/works/93846741

Anri looked up as the tall, slender hare now towered above her, bra and panties strewn on the floor as the dog sat bracketed between a pair of bare lagomorphic legs, a neatly kept tuft of bright orange hair sitting just above Anri’s nose. “You're really into my legs, huh?” Ver giggled from above her, the hare’s fingers tangling in her headfur now. Anri nodded quickly, staring up into those still sleepy eyes as Ver’s inner thighs began to shake against her cheeks. She gripped the hare's hips, taking a few moments to appreciate the way her cream colored spots bunched up on her hips before they gave way to caramel brown further up her waist, and closed her eyes as her lips met Ver’s vulva.

The moan Ver gave out was musical to Anri's ear, egging her on to lick deeply along her friend's lips, already wet with a few drops of salty-sweet dew. Ver sighed in bliss; her legs stopped trembling and her thighs closed in on either side of Anri’s muzzle, the hare's fingers gripping her head tighter. “H-Hey Anri, I've got an idea,” she gasped as she rubbed her pussy against Anri’s muzzle, drawing out a hum from the dog; “Hmmm?”

Ver took a step back and knelt down, kissing Anri deeply on the lips before taking the dog’s shoulder and guiding her down onto her back. Her heart racing, the hare licked her lips and smiled down at the lovely creature laying beneath her. “How about this?” She cooed, knelt down with her knees on either side of Anri’s head. She gripped the dog’s head gently, and Anri’s hands quickly found her hips, pulling Ver down and beginning to kiss and lick relentlessly on the hare’s vulva. Ver nearly yelped in pleasure, but let her friend’s tongue find her clit as she reached back and down that warm, fluffy body, her fingers beginning to rub Anri’s vulva and causing the canine’s legs to squirm and strain.
