ICE continues to terrorize our communities with zero accountability; this time in New York, they shot a man with his 5-year-old child in the car. ICE must be reined in before more senseless violence continues. ICE must not get another dime until reforms. The violence must end.

The person's condition was not immediately clear. The New York Police Department, which said it was not involved in the shooting, said the person is conscious.

Trump is clearly putting corporate interests above the health of Americans - look no further than the Administration’s support for pesticide liability. I co-lead a bill to prevent that. We should be focused on making the food we eat safer & healthier. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...

I joined Yale students & faculty to demand Yale to oppose any settlement with the Trump’s Department of Justice. When standing up for one’s values, fighting back is always worth it. I will stand in that fight with you - and we can win it, together.

President Trump's tariff policies, tax cuts for billionaires, and war of choice in Iran have led to high costs and less money in Americans’ pockets. He has a trifecta in Washington. He has used it to enrich himself and his friends – not to help Americans with affordability

Yusuf Shanaran, his wife and four children are trapped in their home in the occupied West Bank. Settlers who constructed an illegal outpost to isolate them are attacking the family and destroying their home and have not been arrested. The IDF must intervene to protect Yusuf and his family!

No family should be held captive in their home. Yusuf Shanaran, his wife, & four children, have been trapped inside their house for days now. Masked settlers have attacked them & their home ignoring orders to stop. The IDF has a responsibility to protect this family & their home.

This week, I was glad to stop by WHEAT Food Pantry to see how they are keeping our community fed. WHEAT is an important cornerstone in providing nutritious food & personal care items to our community. WHEAT & I share the same belief: food is a human right.

Working Latinas are paid just 53 cents for every dollar paid to non-Hispanic white men. Latinas can’t afford to lose $33,370 to the wage gap each year. We must pass my Paycheck Fairness Act to fight for #LatinaEqualPay, because an economy that exploits working women harms us all.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. On Monday I stood with BHcare in New Haven to honor survivors and remember victims of domestic violence. With funding for the Office of Violence Against Women under threat, we must protect survivors and the resources they rely on.

President Trump admitted his “public service announcements” are political ads. At minimum, the money he stole from you—the taxpayers—for these ads should be returned to the Treasury, & his top aides who facilitated this theft must be held accountable.

A day after the president said his super PAC would pay for the ads, which had drawn bipartisan backlash, officials said that he meant moving forward. A new taxpayer-funded ad aired Tuesday.

Connecticut families are getting squeezed because of Trump’s war in Iran. Gas: $3.13 → $4.45 in one year — a 42% increase. President Trump is delivering higher costs. Working families are paying the price.

This is President Trump’s America. Noise and light pollution , higher power bills, and less clean water for you— all while he and his billionaire friends profit. Data centers support many critical technologies, but they do not belong in our neighborhoods.

Trump defends data centers in communities in new interview: "I would like to have data centers. It doesn't mean I want them right next to my house, but certainly I like them in my county."
