Last Friday, this Supreme Court ruling put thousands of lives at risk! The Young Democrats of America stand with TPS holders. We will not let the American dream die.
On this day in 1964, the Civil Rights Act was signed into law, a landmark victory born from the courage, sacrifice, and relentless organizing of the Civil Rights Movement. Today, we celebrate the progress we have made and recommit ourselves to the work that still lies ahead.
Progress has never been inevitable. It has always been driven by ordinary people willing to organize, march, strike, vote, speak out, and demand that our country live up to its promises. Every generation has inherited unfinished work, and every generation has had the opportunity to move us forward.
Mental health is health, yet far too many Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color continue to face barriers to care; from stigma and cultural misconceptions to language barriers, discrimination, and a lack of accessible, affordable resources.
This month we proudly celebrate the history, strength & leadership of the disability community. YDA is committed to building a future where accessibility is not an afterthought & disabled voices are heard at every table where decisions are made.
The Supreme Court decision is a reminder that the fight for equality is far from over. Young Democrats of America stands with transgender youth today & every day. Trans people belong everywhere, including on the playing field. We will continue to stand for inclusion and equal opportunity for all.
