I got completely sidetracked by the fanfic-writer Al story, but I’m actually working on my The Bear-inspired AU. It’s about Lucifer, who runs a family restaurant, and Alastor, who’s trying to buy the property by forcing it to close. I’m about a third of the way through it~

I watched Obsession this weekend, and someone asked if it inspired me to write a fic. My answer was, “Well… I don’t think Alastor would regret his wish or try to undo it as long as it meant he could have Lucifer’s attention, so I guess it’d just end up being a happy ending...?”

Personally, I’m happy just spending my free time writing whatever I feel like, but I know it’s not always easy for writers to see readers’ reactions right away and the lack of immediate feedback can sometimes affect a writer’s motivation. Receiving comments and fanart certainly makes a writer's day!

I’m the kind of person who forgets the finer details of a fic I finished writing just last week and gets to experience it all over again every time I reread it, so naturally I had no memory of what I’d written a year ago. I ended up rereading my own story with a constant “Huh…” expression on my face

Every time I write an AU, Adam somehow ends up with a juicy role. I made a conscious effort to avoid that this time, and I think I actually managed. That said, the next AU I want to write gives him a very juicy role, so I have a feeling the pendulum is about to swing hard in the opposite direction
