Mamdani is hated by "centrist" dems not quite because he's liberal, but more because he's so unequivocal about Republicans being bad. There's no mealymouthed "i love ICE but I'd reform it a little" Rahmesque rhetoric coming out of his mouth. That drives the "centrists" crazy.

About thirty years ago I was at a gym. They had a local radio station playing. In half an hour on the bike, I heard maybe three songs between all the ads and yapping. I stopped actively listening to broadcast radio around then. So I'm unaware of songs like these. I suspect I'm not that unusual.

They listen to their own curated playlists on headphones or alone in their cars. I only heard it because I sought it out after months of it being #1 and I was curious.
I don't really like the use of tiebreakers in baseball. For seeding purposes, OK. For in/out of playoffs, play a game. How anticlimactic the 1951, 1962, 1978 and 1980 pennant races would have been if they had been settled on paper.

I drove to Montana and back this month. Part of it was my genuine enjoyment of the American landscape. But part of it was a desire to avoid air travel, which has become a miserable experience at every level -- at a higher cost.
