Updated Dec9 @planet-labs.bsky.social imagery over North Gaza shows the IDF checkpoint at the desalination plant covered in the @dropsitenews.com article linked below has expanded. A new tent structure has gone up and a convoy of roughly 30 trucks is visible stopped on the road near the checkpoint.

An August 26 2024 SkySat image from Planet Labs shows the North Gaza water desalination plant. The plant and surrounding area are both heavily damaged. An November 12 2024 SkySat image from Planet Labs shows the North Gaza water desalination plant. A square laager with gravel has been created, IDF vehicles and shipping containers are visible near the coast and a checkpoint has been created. An inset image from Drop Site news shows a screenshot of an IDF soldier's video on Instagram at the site. An December 9 2024 SkySat image from Planet Labs shows the North Gaza water desalination plant. More IDF vehicles are visible and a new tent structure has been erected. The checkpoint has been moved and trucks are visible stopped in front of it.

Since he's not on this site, I'll post this here. Younis Tirawi found that the IDF has turned north Gaza's only water desalination plant into a military base. It's located just north of Gaza City, and satellite imagery confirms the presence of military vehicles. www.dropsitenews.com/p/gaza-water...
