New from my lab: can listeners adapt to shifted accents when disambiguating information arrives later in the signal? Answer: Maybe...? For a variety of methodological reasons, these effects can be small & hard to detect. More here: journals.linguisticsociety.org/proceedings/...

New work from my lab: using speech discrimination experiments, we find evidence that listeners can maintain uncertainty about the category identity of past speech, but not acoustic details. Will present this as a poster at CogSci this July--check out the paper here! doi.org/10.31234/osf...

Excited to share my new paper out in Glossa Psycholinguistics! It's an effort to computationally formalize theories of how people may (or may not) maintain gradient linguistic representations over time; we find strong evidence in favor of maintenance over long perceptual distances.
