I am so ANGRY about the state of the labour market for young people. It's just shit. I know so many young ppl who've applied for hundreds of jobs, been made to jump through endless hoops, barely receive an acknowledgement, and, if they do get a job, they are often treated horribly. It's just not on!

This is SUCH important research. Many vaccines require storage at cold or ultra-cold temperatures which limits shelf-life once thawed AND is exceptionally challenging in shipping vaccines and for resource poor countries. This research shows potential for dried vaccines that don't need cold storage!

Half of vaccines are binned - this plant could change that

Scientists have kept vaccines stable at room temperature for a year, which could transform global vaccination.

Weren’t donations going to cover it all originally b4 he bulldozed the wing. Navin’s snap payments are cut, free health care provision targeted and a war rages on but he gets all his building and gilding projects on the taxpayers buck.

Exclusive: The Trump administration plans to spend at least $900 million on White House grounds construction, a significantly larger price tag than previously reported. Taxpayers would cover most of the cost, according to records reviewed by The Post.

This is blatant misinformation from Bhattacharya. Unfortunately, we knew natural immunity was not good enough before the vaccine because too many people died, needed hospitalisation or got long COVID. Furthermore vax not tested routinely on pregnancy and were not mandated for pregnant women

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com · 4d ago

a stammering NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya criticizes Dr Fauci: "He leaned into the mandates, denying natural immunity" đŸ„Ž

Utterly nonsensical. No good science backs this up but a lot of data says it could be bad- inconveniece is a huge barrier that prevents people getting vax or completing full course so splitting vax up further will compound this. In a country where measles clearly now endemic this is utter insanity

BREAKING — Trump is planning to sign an executive order today that calls for spacing out childhood vaccines, breaking the MMR into three separate shots and making other key vaccine changes. @lenasun.bsky.social @rachelroubein.bsky.social

New data further reinforces that SarsCoV2 infection has knock on effects for some- enabling previously latent viruses such as EBV to wake up. This was particularly notable in people who developed long COVID but could be seen in infection anyway đŸ§”đŸ§Ș #Covid @exposomeimmunology.bsky.social

COVID can wake up a slew of dormant viruses inside you

Reactivation of typically harmless anelloviruses, in particular, seems to be linked with developing long COVID, study finds.

This Republican led witch hunt against Fauci is disgusting - no real questions were addressed to learn lessons from pandemic and meanwhile US struggles with food poisoning outbreaks hampered by Republican cuts to CDC and measles continues to surge with little effort by RFKjr to combat.

US Senate panel votes to hold Fauci in contempt of Congress over Covid hearing

Anthony Fauci’s lawyer condemned the vote from the Republican-controlled committee as a ‘crude political stunt’

theguardian.com

I saw this interview + applaud the journalist challenging RFKJr who repeatedly denied culpability for spreading disinformation that contributed to vaccine hesitancy, told out right lies about Lyme disease,Tylenol + RSV b4 eventually grudgingly conceding the MMR vaccine protects against measles

RFK Jr tells US families to vaccinate children against measles amid outbreak

Health secretary, longtime vaccination skeptic, spent years boosting misinformation about vaccines including MMR

I don’t know- a president lying and a department hiding the truth really should be surprising and shouldn’t happen but in Trump’s administration he can never be made to look wrong even the contortions are so obvious to all.

CNN@cnn.com · 2w ago

"Nothing about what happened Friday, when the Justice Department dropped its case against a purported Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool vandal, was completely surprising," writes CNN's Aaron Blake. "But that’s also what makes it so scandalous." | Analysis: https://cnn.it/4xe4Dte

Good summary of what the insanity that was the Fauci hearing yesterday was about- basically a senators vendetta against Fauci and overall an attack on science versus conspiracy theories. An absolute shocking display from the Republican senators involved.

Anthony Fauci’s high-profile Senate hearing: what we learned

Six years on from Covid crisis, Republicans still politicizing science – and Fauci remains a political punching bag

Some good news as looks like the US will finally release the 600m dollars that had originally been approved for GAVI to support international vaccine programs but were then held back due to objections from RFKjr who demanded they remove thiomersal from all vaccines

State Department agrees to reinstate vaccine funding for Gavi

The department had been withholding $600 million in congressionally appropriated funds for the international vaccine partnership.
