Student Reflection from Saskia (MSW) Last week, I had the pleasure of supporting the Safe People Community Picnic at Britannia Park. Now in its fifth year, the annual Safe People Community Picnic brought together 55 community members to celebrate the relationships and sense of belonging.
Today is International Non-Binary People’s Day, a time to celebrate and uplift the voices, identities, and experiences of non-binary people around the world. We believe everyone deserves equitable access to safe, respectful, and affirming care, and we will continue working to make that a reality.

Reflection from our student Saskia: On Thursday, May 28, 2026, Winthrop Community House hosted a community barbecue, bringing community members of all ages together. For my first visit to Winthrop CH, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with #connection, #conversation, and community spirit.
