It’s the second Monday after the election. My motivation has evolved from “I give up” to “how quickly can I give up?”

Publishing is a resilient industry. What’s not, or rather who’s not, is the marginalized creators (Queer; BIPOC; disabled, & so on) that are likely to be impacted most, combined with rising number of book bannings.

I’m curious as to how publishing will be shifting these next few years with these tariffs. I wonder if we’ll see less specs, shorter titles, & stricter deadlines to head to the printers dates due to there not being a lot in the US and cost of printers abroad.
