Evolution of sports (such as football): 1. Humans playing the sport and humans refereeing. 2. Humans refereeing with tech assistance. 3. Tech refereeing with humans “in the loop”. 4. Sports as tech simulations with humans as data for training models.
These are terrible decisions because they destroy the sport. Why even have an on field referee? I’m all for VAR to overturn the big stuff but this isn’t cricket where a nick or a toe should determine the outcome 5-10 minutes later. I don’t even know this sport anymore
