What does the MDE do? The SBE is going to play a sig role in educating on all of these EOs and the impact that they can have, said Casandra Ulbrich... "I don't see (MDE's) role diminishing, I see it actually getting stronger and more important as the attack on public education continues."

In tomorrow's SOTU Response, the Democrats have a chance for education and reflection, not just a reaction. Instead of responding to specific points, the "Democratic Response" should focus on our history, shared values, and the importance of the rule of law under our Constitution.

Today, I had the honor of testifying before the State Senate Education committee in favor of Senate bills 943 - 947. These bills focus on Charter School financial transparency. The bills were voted out of committee and head to the floor.
