6yo "almost all the books are about BOYS saving something. I want books about GIRLS". Recommendations please for strong girl characters (her reading age is far higher than 6) - Rainbow Grey was a big win

6yo desperately upset that there isn't a sequel to Matilda which she has just read. I explained that Roald Dahl is unfortunately dead. "Can he not write one for me anyway"

I was in ED all yesterday evening, been in EAU all this morning with Dad and I've just come to sit in an office that I worked five years ago whilst Dad has an angiogram and it is SO QUIET. I am never going to take quiet for granted again

Our wonderful regular writer @laurarichmond.bsky.social has written the most incredible memoir of mental health & motherhood. It comes out this week and we will be hyping it up all week & forever! We’re not good at subtle, so to be autistic about it: BUY IT - wiltonsquarebooks.com/products/all...

My bestie wrote a book! It's beautiful and incredible and hilarious and profound and you should all go and get it immediately.

6yo spent half an hour sitting next to the piano with a piece of manuscript paper and wrote her first composition (she wrote one partly with her Daddy before but this was entirely by herself). She chose the time signature and the bars all add up correctly!
