Absolutely delighted that the third study from my PhD has now been published. This is the first study across multiple services to look at the experiences of autistic people when they access a community perinatal mental health team for support. www.cambridge.org/core/journal...

Haven't heard anything so it looks like Grace has earned this badge! Hoping she is having a marvellous time on Brownie holiday (she's got another night tonight)
Good morning to everyone, but especially to all the camels, for today is their special day! To celebrate World Camel Day, here is an illustration of a camel from the book 'Animated Nature' (1828) by Georges-Louis Leclerc, Comte de Buffon. 📷 Reserve 590 BUF #WorldCamelDay #CamelDay #RareBooks
Delighted to hear MY Psalm on Choral Evensong today. Psalm 111v7 "The works of his hand are verity and judgement; all his commandments are sure"
And so it begins again! The square brownie interest badges are less forgiving than the round rainbows ones for people who are terrible at sewing though 🫠
Feeling very proud of myself for getting all of these badges sewn onto the camp blanket in a week! It's not perfect but a lot of love has gone into it.
Grace and I are discussing time travel. Grace "I'd like to go back to the last time I had ice cream".
Well, I felt like a celebrity being asked to write a foreword for the two RCPsych Perinatal Quality Network reports and they've finally been issued!
The 6yo has exited Rainbows with 50 badges (and yes I did sew them all on for some final photos)
Always love a predatory journal, especially as the high quality original article referred to is simply the correction of the last author's initial from G to H 😂
6yo "almost all the books are about BOYS saving something. I want books about GIRLS". Recommendations please for strong girl characters (her reading age is far higher than 6) - Rainbow Grey was a big win
This is what the complete set of Rainbows interest badges looks like! Well done 6yo!

6yo desperately upset that there isn't a sequel to Matilda which she has just read. I explained that Roald Dahl is unfortunately dead. "Can he not write one for me anyway"
We’re running a new study exploring how young people use AI chatbots like ChatGPT for mental health support. If you’re aged 16-25, live in the UK, and have used AI chatbots for mental health, we’d love to hear from you!! @oxchildpsych.bsky.social @emmasoneson.bsky.social 👉 lnkd.in/eQSRzyej
Last week, Dad heart attack. This week 6yo poorly for four days and now seems unwell enough for the GP. I am really not feeling very optimal...
I was in ED all yesterday evening, been in EAU all this morning with Dad and I've just come to sit in an office that I worked five years ago whilst Dad has an angiogram and it is SO QUIET. I am never going to take quiet for granted again
Our wonderful regular writer @laurarichmond.bsky.social has written the most incredible memoir of mental health & motherhood. It comes out this week and we will be hyping it up all week & forever! We’re not good at subtle, so to be autistic about it: BUY IT - wiltonsquarebooks.com/products/all...
My bestie wrote a book! It's beautiful and incredible and hilarious and profound and you should all go and get it immediately.
6yo spent half an hour sitting next to the piano with a piece of manuscript paper and wrote her first composition (she wrote one partly with her Daddy before but this was entirely by herself). She chose the time signature and the bars all add up correctly!
Ooh it's Dad!!

Wonderful to see this. More research on perinatal autism is so desperately needed and must be led by lived experiences.

Having listened to choral evensong on the way home, the 6yo is now only communicating in plainsong...
