I like to write and sew. Contributor to the V&A's book, Patchwork & Quilting. Author of Flossie Teacakes’ Guide to EPP. Debut novel, THE NAMES, May ‘25. Rep’d Karolina Sutton.

An awful photo (taken from a stepladder, with a stomach-churning fear of heights), but somehow this lone rose is still going at the end of November and miraculously survived Storm Bert where even a fence panel didn’t 💫🌸.

Having loved The Snow Child, I’d preordered a copy of this, but am delighted to receive a proof a few months ahead of its arrival - thank you so much @tinderpress.bsky.social - this is a real treat 💙🐻🪵. (And can keep the preorder to give to a friend who’d also enjoyed Eowyn’s previous novel :) 💙📚

A proof copy of Eowyn Ivey’s BLACK WOODS, BLUE SKY.

I had such a lovely evening meeting so many bookish people - thanks to everyone who came along 💛. And to @orionbooks.bsky.social for organising it all so beautifully. x

Thank you to everyone who made last night’s @orionbooks.bsky.social showcase so special and cheered on our authors — especially my two brilliant debut stars for next year @florenceknapp.bsky.social and @katekemp.bsky.social who spoke beautifully about their novels The Names and The Grapevine

This is gorgeous. I fell in love with it fairly late on when something in the dynamic between the dog and narrator shifts and really comes to life. So many wise observations on grief, writing, reading, and the bond between animals and humans. One I’d like to reread. #sigridnunez #thefriend

Listening to Western Lane by Chetna Maroo today brought an end to a curiously bookless few weeks. Wonderful characters and I love novels with an intense amount of detail around someone learning or doing a particular thing - in this case playing squash.
