Saw *Takahashia japonica* (at least I think so) for the first time at an Italian service area on our way to Sardinia — weird white worm-like strands covering a mulberry tree. Apparently this invasive scale insect is spreading through Europe. Never seen anything like it in 🇨🇭 before - so bizare! 🌿

Marmots now live at higher altitudes than they did 40 years ago, but climate change has not led to a major habitat shift.
