In the drawing itself, Henry is riding his horse in a field. The reins are taut, and he is turned slightly toward the man approaching from the right. The rider's gaze is directed toward the man's outstretched letter. The approaching man is wearing armor and a bright blue hood over his shoulders. His right hand rests on the horse's rump. He is clearly uncomfortable in the situation, and the hug is more of a formality than a genuine expression of feelings.

Just behind the man, his sister stands in the shadows. They are incredibly similar to each other, even in their tense gazes.

She is dressed much more colorfully than her brother, but her image is also dominated by dark shades. Her left hand, in an attempt to encourage or protect, gently touches the man's shoulder

I’ve finally read Trainspotting and watched a film, and it’s given me such a boost of inspiration that I’ve actually felt the urge to have a go at painting. I had to dig out some old gouache, and the brushes that had survived from my oil painting days so it's kinda rough #art #gouache #sketchbook

It's my birthday today!!! So here's my art! 🎉✨
