As folks adjusted their clocks yesterday, it’s worth restating that House Republicans have spent more time debating Daylight Savings this year than advancing policies to make life more affordable for working families.

Today a letter with a suspicious substance was delivered to our office in Boulder, similar to the pattern of lawmaker offices being targeted across the country.  Grateful to the US Postal Service & FBI for their assistance. Attempts to intimidate my team and I will not succeed.

Today I observed legal proceedings of children in immigration court in Denver. What I saw was a cruel, dystopian and fundamentally broken system. I’m grateful to the many legal and advocacy organizations, including RMIAN and others, working to change it — and helping our immigrant neighbors.

The House of Representatives has held less than 12 voting days since August. Even the Russian Duma meets more often than the Republican-held U.S. House.

Grateful to join yesterday afternoon the incredible staff & volunteers at the Coal Creek Meals on Wheels in serving meals to folks in Lafayette. Given all the challenges we face, finding ways to support our community is more important than ever.

Under Republican control, the House has only been in session for 72 days this year. Literally just 26% of the calendar year. It is absurd.

It is harder than ever for American families to purchase a home. Long past time for real solutions to address the housing affordability crisis in America.
