I had a really great time at the @socialhistsoc.bsky.social 50th anniversary conference. So many interesting papers and many from MA and PhD students. My co-written paper on 'Feeling the street: touch and emotion in 20th century town and city centre streets' - had some interesting questions!

Travelling back from my very first @socialhistsoc.bsky.social conference in Lancaster. Such a lovely, welcoming group of people and excellent, wide ranging papers from early career, independent, and established scholars. Amazingly varied historical work on parenthood, disability & anti-racism.

And so that concludes the end of the 50th Anniversary of the @socialhistsoc.bsky.social at Lancaster University. Thank you for the opportunity to present my research and also chair my first panel It was a great experience! Hopefully I'll be back next year!

Thank you @socialhistsoc.bsky.social for a wonderful, warm and welcoming conference for the first outing of my PhD research. So many great papers and stimulating conversations. Can’t wait for the next one!

With #SHS2026 now being done, my time as PGR rep for @socialhistsoc.bsky.social has also come to an end. It’s a role that I’ve been in for 4 years and one that I’ve genuinely loved doing, so I am a bit sad to have to leave it! But I’m very happy to be giving it over to @jainahunt.bsky.social!

I had the opportunity to give my first conference paper at the @socialhistsoc.bsky.social event this week. It was a brilliant experience!

I also want to thank the Leverhulme Trust, (@leverhulme.ac.uk) who have supported me on 2 different projects, and without whom I would not have been able to achieve any of this. And its just a massive thank you to the Social History Society! @socialhistsoc.bsky.social
