i got a real boost & felt like i got some really good design material from the recent deepseek v4 flash release, but, still feels like i am a little bit in limbo. some strong starts but i just don't want to commit to a bunch of bigger ideas until i can throw Sol at it.

I feel like I really cannot be arsed to save the windows partitions on some of these old systems. So much easier just to format thee.

I'm here for the home cooked software & barefoot developers but if we over-valorize this we undermine being effectual people, making bigger impact, and, imo, that's real bad. Good but not enough, "can't stop here" territory.

I don't disagree. The standalone experiences are not particularly "the thing". Atproto's glory emerges as competitive compatibility and inter-operation of apps arises more remix-y many-tools-together systems.

hard pill to swallow for atproto developers/creators: 99% of potential users either do not care about, value, understand, or want to “own their own data” i see so many apps/projects lead with this “value prop”, but it’s not an important or meaningful consideration for most people

i'm suprised the edit tools have remained as simple as they have. having to round trip each edit seems like it might cause a lot more request to need to be fired than would be necessary? why not have the ai just submit one giant patch/edit all at once? i doubt good models would have any problem.
