Erick - smells like ink and stupidity

At some point over the past few years I wrote myself a note that said "I need a mascot" and then promptly forgot about it. But my mind and art have a weird way of meeting in the middle sometimes and that note just shows up again as I realize I've drawn the same character twice without knowing it.

Totally forgot to post this yesterday, original pressing of the mighty Reign In Blood!!! I still remember the day I bought this, me my buddy Steve were absolutely hooked, listened to it until mom got home. Now I look back as this being one of the albums that turned me into the Riff hunter I am now.

One of those rare albums that can be slotted into so many moods and situations. For me, I've been spinning this every fall since '11 but I usually spin it mid summer too but it has to be one of those summer days when the sun/breeze are just right for doing absolutely nothing. open.spotify.com/album

I'm getting one of these, spraying it black, painting the teeth "extra white" with a glow in the dark effect, and I have the perfect see through black fabric for the eyes, black hoody and everything else and maybe a scary robe and it's the perfect sleep paralysis demon costume. Tell me I'm wrong. 🎃

Spirit Halloween finally found something scarier than the prices.

My wife and I just started a banned book collection, as you can imagine, most of them we already have. 😐

Let books be. Today kicks off #BannedBooksWeek, an annual observation started more than 40 years ago in response to a sudden surge in attempts to censor or remove books in libraries, schools, and bookstores. Sound familiar? Find ways to get involved and spread the word: https://bit.ly/4yvixbB.

LET BOOKS BE. Various line drawings related to libraries and books, including a hand holding a sign made of an open book that reads "Freed for ALL to Read," a tote bag that reads "Totes Resist" carrying a book, a full book cart with the head and tale of a horse with text that reads "A Wild Ride," and a closeup of two feet standing on a stack of books that say "A Soap Box" on their spines. Text at bottom reads "Protect the freedom to read. Banned Books Week, October 4-10, 2026." American Library Association. ala.org/bbooks
