I don’t think we should cancel Hank Green over him using AI but it should also be a very clear warning that a guy as capable and respected as him admits to having relied too much on the dopamine of using genAI.

I’m not really a IG user and the more I try to use it the more unfathomable its popularity is. This isn’t a video, it’s a single image. But it’s made into one because reels do better algorithmically, meaning I get a big “replay” screen for something that never played anything.

Re: Will Stancil’s grocery store discourse: My question would be why is a city-run grocery not seen in other countries that demsocs are usually trying to emulate? (Or is it and I’m just not aware?) Seems silly to insist on a unique solution and then act shocked people don’t immediately follow.
I continue to see abolish the senate / parliamentarize Congress posts and I'm comforted by knowing they're crank ideas that will never happen but if either did, I'd leave the country as soon as I could, because an Actual Dictatorship would follow within ten years.
