What message will it send recipients of US aid if this brazen illegal effort to corrupt aid decisions is not responded to firmly? It’s inconceivable to not place a hold on 100% of Egypt’s conditioned military aid and show the consequences for such an assault on our democratic institutions.

Must be a busy day at Brownstein Hyatt today. Between confirmed coverage that Senator Menendez took bribes to advance Egyptian govt interests and that Egyptian authorities injected spyware on a leading presidential candidate's phone, the weekend probably feels really really far.
