Antoine Dupont becomes the first men’s rugby player to have their own signature boot, I think, with the launch of the new Adidas AD9. Ellie Kildunne is the only other player in recent years that had one, to my knowledge, and that was with Canterbury.

Here on the condition people can be normal about Antoine Dupont
With another huge month of test rugby in the bank, we reviewed all 24 top-tier teams, and attempted to pin it down: Just who are the form players in the world right now? youtu.be/OmfxiTkC7fI

Today's update is being reported as the WRU doubling down. Really, it's that they've pushed their deadline for announcing who gets cut from June 2026 to March 2027. Considering their deadline was originally October 2025, it's starting to feel a little bit like this is might never happen.
The WRU do not have a route to get down to three teams. A tender whilst they own Cardiff would be a legal nightmare and take a decade. An Ospreys/Scarlets merger is not happening. The Dragons are not folding voluntarily. They're looking for a new candidate with any ideas because they have none.
This is one of the most insane things I've ever read. The new candidate will be chosen on their ability to deliver the policy that was so unpopular it saw their predecessor ousted.
The WRU hiring criteria for the new chair being "must agree with our terrible idea, even though the last guy got run out of town because of it and it's legally impossible" is such a perfect encapsulation of why rugby in Wales is fucked. Ultimately all they care about is protecting themselves.
Hell, there were three series of rugby games on PS2. None of them ever surfaced again after the jump to PS3.
Are you quite aware how many football series PS2 had
the whole "women's sports exist to protect women from men" framing is hilarious, given that a lot of these divisions were initially formed because men were deeply embarrassed any time a woman beat them at a sport olympic shooting was mixed gender right up until a woman won the gold
Happy Richard Collier-Keywood Unemployment Day to all who celebrate
Still no word on a permanent successor
I had a big ol look at how New Zealand did one on Ireland-
Dave Rennie's New Zealand are officially up and running: A third consecutive win as they bowled over Ireland. So, how did the All Blacks shut the Irish down, what got their slick attack moving, and what how far off are Farrell's team? youtu.be/bx_oij6Er2E
Squidge is a great communicator. Any teachers out there? This is how to do it! (I know lesson plans, Ofsted ..)

Let's take a moment to remember the last Rugby World Cup Final had a 'SuperBowl style' pre-match show which comprised of Mika singing two songs in the corner of the pitch then Sophie Turner walking out and waving once before disappearing
I could be wrong but I believe that Argentina and England have broken the record for most combined yellow cards in a single men’s test match (7 total). The previous record, I believe, was South Africa v Argentina on 24/09/2022 with 6 total.
Canada v Zimbabwe being stuck in an infinite, indefinite lightning delay at 2:20am is really stretching my completist, ‘watch every game’ tendencies
They’ve got too many caps to really be breakthrough players, but Gonzalo Lopez and Dominic Besag for Spain & USA respectively have both gone up gears this summer. Really established themselves as serious test players.
Zimbabwe are gonna cause some problems next year. I'm not saying they could beat Wales, but they'll probably come way closer than anybody is expecting right now.
Just had to report someone who was sharing clips of me from videos as themself and their work on Instagram for copyright violations. I have officially lived long enough to see myself become the villain.
And now Portugal Tonga goes to 85 minutes and Portugal win it with a volley-intercept straight into touch on their own try line
Every match in the Nations Cup is a banger. Those only looking at the T1 games are missing out.
Argentina have played England in Argentina 14 times. They have won three times, in 2009, 1997, and 1990.
Argentina please just once play well against England at home. Please Argentina my children are starving.

Uruguay have slipped from 33-13 up to 33-39 behind. Absolutely crazy stuff from Hong Kong, could be their biggest result ever?!
Bloody hell Hong Kong are giving Uruguay a game
Think about it though: 73-0 loss in November 43-0 loss today If this trend continues we will draw 0-0 with South Africa in the World Cup next year
Adam Beard is having an absolutely beltingly annoying game today. Prime content.
Weird to say when it feels this one sided, but Wales are kicking incredible well today. Williams, Edwards and Murray all absolutely on the money and it's the only real reason this scoreline is currently respectable.
Rhys Carre has become one of Wales' most important players, but today was always going to be a day for Nicky Smith, our best scrummager, and frankly he should be on before halftime if we want to compete at all in this game.
Dillon Lewis penalised for going in the side of a ruck against the Springboks. The PTSD is crazy.
