BREAKING: Alaska's Republican-run state government just urged a federal judge to dismiss the lawsuit filed at Trump’s direction to stop the certification of a possible Democratic win in the state Senate race — saying there's "no reason for this Court to entertain this meritless lawsuit any longer."

El-Sayed: I don’t really care if he ever figures out how to say my name. I just need to make sure, and we need to make sure, that he’s got to say it with the word senator in front of it in three days.

1. BREAKING Alaska’s Republican-led government is tearing into the election lawsuit Trump personally directed his Justice Department to bring, calling the case “meritless” and the administration’s plan to segregate ballots “disturbing and impossible.”

First page of a court filing: United States District Court for the District of Alaska, Case No. 3:26-cv-00376-SLG, Document 76, Filed 10/31/26, Page 1 of 15. Caption: United States of America v. State of Alaska; Carol Beecher, in her official capacity as Director of the Division of Elections of the State of Alaska; the Election Boards of the State of Alaska; and the State Ballot Counting Review Board of the State of Alaska. Title: DEFENDANTS’ REPLY ON MOTION TO DISMISS THE FIRST AMENDED COMPLAINT. Counsel listed: Rachel Witty, Civil Division Director; Margaret Paton Walsh and Laura Fox, Assistant Attorneys General, Department of Law, Anchorage. Opening text says the United States’ opposition provides no reason for the Court to entertain this meritless lawsuit any longer; the NVRA claim has no legal basis; the Supremacy Clause claim sinks with it; and the relief demanded is inappropriate and not even possible given Alaskan voters’ vital right to ballot secrecy. Black padded card.

It's the 35th anniversary of Nirvana's triumphant 1991 homecoming show at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle. Here's a passage about it from _The Amplified Come as You Are: The Story of Nirvana_, a new, vastly expanded edition of _Come as You Are_.

Restored Ken Russle formerly banned film “ the Devils” makes you somehow grateful we at least lived in a time when people could still be publicly intelligent and subversion was respected - about fascism’s performative circus where every player knows every other player is lying About now

8. Stevens is taking fire from inside her own party for the statement. State Sen. Mallory McMorrow, who dropped out of the primary in July and has been campaigning for El-Sayed, went on CNN Friday afternoon and said she has "no idea what the hell Haley Stevens is doing."

The Senate race between Jon Ossoff and Mike Collins gives us good material to illustrate two common problems with men's trousers, which most people miss when shopping. Let me show you. 🧵

Jon Ossoff walking on stage with a blue button-up shirt and navy trousers. Mike Collins talking to voters while wearing a white button-up shirt and navy trousers.

The worst case scenario for Vivek. By pulling the ad he admits it was a huge mistake, but it was done too late to save him. When the initial backlash hit the day it came out he called Trump to ask him if he should pull the ad. Trump told him hell no and he should double down. He listened to Trump.

Vivek finally took down that disgusting ad. I presume because people were at his events mocking him & bashing him like he deserved. His humiliation & exile from politics can’t come soon enough.
