This scraper account posts other people’s stuff without credit. They grudgingly post a separate attribution after the fact, if enough people call them out. Any time an account says β€œdm me if you own the original,” just put them on the block list. Don’t let these accounts get a foothold here.

The philosophy at the heart of all of this stuff is "I don't want this task to be difficult" and pretending like there's a solution even when it isn't actually workable. It's a delusion, driven by the idea that there *must* be a simple alternative to skill, time, and effort.

This is one of the objections I have when people talk about how useful LLMs can be for literature searches or for any kind of search, really. Even beyond the biases that inevitably (and, in some cases, intentionally) show up, part of a good literature search is seeing information *in context.*
