1/ You’ve all read Hunter Biden’s summary of Trump’s distasteful and abhorrent behavior at the Correspondents Dinner last week. There’s so much truth to these words so thoroughly articulated. What we all better pay attention to the most in this post is, Trump has no intentions of leaving office.

The spawn of Satan also told Christian GOP voters that if they supported him in 2024, they “don’t have to vote again” as he and Republicans would have it “fixed so good.” Want better? Vote better! #Voices4Victory #DV1 #Pinks #SheShed

Two and a half months after a lifelong friend passed, we had his memorial service this weekend. I’m grateful for the recollections and reconnections, for the laughs and smile and tears. I miss my friend, whose time here was far too short, but my heart is full.

In Loving Memory of our Son ~ Devon Gottfried 10/18/1983 - 7/26/2003

His death was brutally violent though he wasn't in a war nor was he shot. He died in a red Firebird that he loved.
The music was blaring, but not loud enough to keep him awake.
The cement culvert didn't give when his Firebird hit it. That bird soared, rolled and slammed to the ground.
His body was smashed, torn, broken. I never saw my son again. He was gone. Quickly, I pray.
A beautiful summer weekend at the end of July. Full of sunshine, laughter, joy. His T-top roof open, the wind blowing through his hair.
Eyes full of life, charm, delight. His life as an adult was just beginning. 19.
The exact amount of dollars in the wallet I held onto like a lifeline. A lifeline I slept holding in my hands over my heart for months.
The wallet now residing in a pretty little box with his dad's.
And a patch. A patch I found in his room tacked to the ceiling.
"No Regrets".
It was early on that beautiful Saturday morning when the coroner came. A plastic baggie in his hand. He held it out to me. I didn't want it.
The precious wallet, some papers, the CD's in their cases, crushed glass in the plastic sleeves.
He said, "I'm sorry. Your son is dead."
My reply was immediate and vehement. "He cannot be! I just prayed to God last night, to keep him safe, healthy and whole!"
How could this be? How could I be waking up to the news that my beloved young son was dead? I prayed damn it! I prayed!
Yet with all my heart, I still believe, for your spirit lives forever inside me. Mind, heart and soul.
No regrets my son.

Love you always Sonshine, Mom
