so uh, I've been working on an AU during my spare time. This is Merquarium AU! Everyone in the canon circus are long-term residents in the C&A Merquarium, communicating with their caretakers with ASL. Pomni is the newest arrival, rescued from a terrible circus exhibit. #tadcMerquariumAU #tadc

Pomni is a shallow water merfolk who came from a coastal reef.

Currently she is a resident of the conservation and aquatics (c&a) merquarium, after having been rescued from an illegal overseas circus exhibit, that she had been a part of for years,
after having been separated from her original pod in her teens.

She is nearly ready for release into the ocean, however, due to her newfound companionship with other mers in the aquarium, she's not keen to leave.

Caine is a rarely seen deep-sea merfolk.

A permanent resident of the conservation and aquatics (c&a) merquarium, a result of being human-raised since he was a hatchling.

He works at the aquarium as a translator and happily engages with the crowd during performances. he's become quite the popular mascot of C&A due to his rarity and friendly nature.

Unfortunately, most new arrivals to the facility tend to fear Caine, because despite his friendly disposition, he is still an apex predator mer.

Caine is also the biggest one there.
