Seems that even solidly right wing commentators have finally realised that climate change will impact on their lives and their children's future. No amount of money will protect them from the chaos if we carry on acting slowly. www.theguardian.com/media/2026/a...

Right turn on green: is the Telegraph changing its tune on the climate?

Flurry of articles has raised eyebrows and prompted a response from Kemi Badenoch defending stance on net zero

It was always strange to call the genocide in Gaza a war, but it's even more bizarre when there is a ceasefire and Israel has killed 1200 Palestinians since then. Even if the Guardian doesn't want to use the term genocide "war" doesn't capture one sided slaughter of civilians

This thread from the Spanish Foreign Office is really useful for anyone faced with mis/disinformation about the situation in Ceuta. There is one hell of a lot of that about at the moment!! Please use it to counteract ignorant claims, wherever they're from. It's available in French and Spanish too.

1/5 🧵 Entering Spain irregularly through Ceuta or Melilla does not grant any right to remain in the country, travel to mainland Spain, or move freely within Europe. It also poses a grave risk to life. No court ruling has changed this. 🔗 www.exteriores.gob.es/en/Comunicac...

On my way to vote today, I caught part of 1A's segment on data centers. Sam Liccardo was one of the guests; he's a Dem from CA who has been endorsed by data center-friendly orgs but, he says, hasn't taken money from them. While listening to him, I became increasingly frustrated. 1/7

Anne Frank, her family, and four other people, all of whom were hiding in the same place, were arrested by the Gestapo on August 4, 1944, after an informer betrayed their Amsterdam hiding place on the Prinsengracht canal. Their helpers, Johannes Kleiman and Victor Kugler, were also arrested.

At York Merchant Adventurer's Hall C14th timbered hall the joy of craft has been caught within Medusa’s gaze. This place is not merely a building, but also the medieval artisan’s woody memoranda embedded within the street. A must see.
