Texas’s drag ban was found to be unconstitutional this morning and one of the plaintiffs who brought the suit was an Austin-based drag queen who often impersonates Dolly Dolly was named in the final judgement itself and after hearing about the lawsuit, she sent that drag queen a signed guitar

Dolly Parton could have been a billionaire, and decided that things like widespread access to books and vaccines was a better use of her money. RIP to a real one who never lost touch of her roots, didn’t hesitate to stand up for others, and deliberately chose community over cash.

I think every major company is looking at open weight AI models and realizing they can just bring them in house with an internal engineering team and cut out the frontier model companies to save money. They have more control and privacy. I really don't see frontier labs surviving this.

We’re going to hear about how everyone loved Dolly, and that feels true. But it’s good to remember, and to her credit, that she was attacked for her AIDS activism, her vaccine advocacy, her LGBTQ+ support and even, more recently, for her reading initiatives. She ALWAYS stood firm when it mattered.

It's good to know the U.S. president has his priorities straight: China’s robot revolution, Ukraine’s technological advances, and Russia’s military buildup for a 2nd front against Europe can wait. It’s more important to antagonize Canada, lose a trade war, and try to rename a lake.

When we hate on these disgusting immoral evil billionaires it’s bc just look at everything Dolly did. They could be doing that. They could just be helping people and every day they choose not to help people. They choose to harm. And when they die, we’ll dance and laugh and be thankful they’re gone.
