This week I attended the SAHR annual Templer Dinner and Lecture. Profs Kevin Linch and David Lambert, had me on the edge of my seat talking about "The Army, Manpower Issues, and their Legacies, 1793-1815". (Winderfully topped off by finding @BlackRedcoats.bsky.social 's book in the Library!)

How much did I enjoy the "Communication and Exchange in the Early Modern c.1500-1850: Far from Home" conference at Aberystwyth University this week? I was too absorbed in the fantasticly informative and patient (no question too enthusiastic!) speakers to take any photos until the very end 🤔💭👌📷
