It is impossible to avoid the conclusion that hosting US military bases while the US is using them to illegally attack your neighbours makes you less secure not more. Security and peace in West Asia requires permanently removing the bases.

Dağları, nehirleri, ovaları, kentleri, köyleri, üniversiteleri, her türlü kurumlarıyla ülkeyi bir partiye bıraktık, seyrediyoruz. Şikayet etmeyelim, başımıza gelenler neyse layığımız budur.

Headlines moved on quickly from the schoolgirls in Minab. We don’t know their names; no media profiles about their lives and aspirations. No smiling photos attached to quotes from mourning families. How unfair that some dead are memorialised while others are relegated to ‘estimated casualties.’

The US is gearing up for genocidal crimes. They backed the genocide in Gaza precisely in order to set a precedent that would allow them to do this themselves. It is pure, wanton barbarism. Every decent person with any shred of human values must resist this campaign with all their might.

To understand how monstrous the US blockade on Cuba is, think about the endgame. What are they trying to achieve? The goal is clearly to starve people to the point where they are too weak to resist an invasion, or so desperate they are willing to accept US control.
