I really can’t believe I got this Turbo Express working again! Alkaline batteries from the 90s completely exploded and wreaked havoc on all of the PCBs. I replaced the cart slot pcb and controller pcb, patched a bunch of traces, and installed an LCDDRV to finish the job!
The best convention in the US. Sure, the vendor floor is great, but it’s hard to convey the amount of hands-on video game history that one can experience here. Unique experiences, not just shopping.

Just finished restoring this Genesis Model 1 using @zaxour.bsky.social 3BP+ and flex cables, and it’s a game changer! The flex makes the install clean with only a few wires needed, and the 3BP+ makes the video and audio look phenomenal! I recommend this combo to get the best from your Genesis!

One final repair before I rest for the holidays - a PC Engine LT! This one came back to life after a recap but the backlight on its display was barely working. I replaced the original screen with an LCDDRV, and now it’s looking better than ever!
