NZ museums and heritage aficionado, shoe fancier, curator baiter, demure chocoholic, and all-round-caffeine fiend. Personal views; Not those of my employer.

Also, anyone thinking/saying ambulatory wheelchair users — or people using walkers or canes — have given up, is dead wrong. Using devices to help them get around means the exact opposite: they refuse to give up; they are pushing their limits to avoid giving up. R E S P E C T !!

Bari Weiss’s latest hire for “60 Minutes,” whose major journalistic output includes smearing genocide victims and putting a target on the backs of reporters in Gaza, shows that the full-blown right-wing tabloidification of the television news program is charging ahead. Read more: interc.pt/4fCNeoh

Abusers are everywhere. True story: today I was sexually harassed by a perp in a grocery store womens restroom. He emerged from the stall, looked at (shocked) me, and said "I'll give you $100 for a handjob". As a 69 y.o. woman, my many lifetime experiences of harassment / assault are all too common.

Prepare for an insane explosion of Islamophobia between now and November, from the same people on the right (and center!) who pretend to be exercised by the rise in anti-Jewish bigotry. The hate will be off the charts and make the anti-Zohran campaign look tame. Mark my words.

Palestinian and Israeli protesters staged a sit-in at the Religious Zionist Party’s headquarters in Shoham on Wednesday. Demonstrators accused far-right Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s party of funding outposts linked to settler attacks in the occupied West Bank.

Luxon - still treating the RNZAF like his own personal Air Force One. Listen up, Noddy. NZ IS doing it tough right now. If you take the piss, waste our taxes, FAIL to do your job when the Foreign Minister makes racist comments in the chamber, you're as useless as your Stooge in the speaker's Chair.
