Communities are fighting back against large corporations building the wrong AI data centers, in the wrong places, without proper consultation with communities.

Bathurst's mine proposal is so big, it's almost ridiculous. Sadly, the mega-mine could become reality, if we don't mobilise to stop it.

Mānawatia a Matariki! Matariki mā Puanga. Matariki can be a time for reflection and strengthening connections between people and te taiao (nature). Matariki reminds us of our connection to te taiao and our responsibilities to look after it.

Across Aotearoa, communities are beating mining companies and their pet politicians. Public outrage forced the government to walk back the attempts to sell off conservation land. Mass opposition to fast-track mining projects have delayed, paused or stopped the majority of mining applications.
People power is working✊⛏ Thank you to everyone who signed the petition to help protect Denniston Plateau🌿🌱 Fight back: 350.org.nz/coal

Today, we're handing over our petition to ANZ, calling on the bank to withdraw banking services from fossil fuel expansion companies like Bathurst Resources, who plans to turn the Denniston Plateau into a massive coal pit. These are some of the stories of people who oppose the mine.
Saying you want an energy strategy while undermining and cutting energy transition workstreams is like saying you are 'cleaning the house' while sweeping rotting food under the rug 🧹

Aotearoa wants homegrown energy, not expensive imports❌🚢 The Government is pushing ahead with a billion-dollar LNG import terminal that could lock us in to high prices for decades. 🍃Help us fight for homegrown energy: 350.org.nz/homegrown-en...

Fossil fuel companies are literally writing the climate laws for Luxon's government. Their gain = our loss.
If we can send spaceships to mars and put intelligence on silicon chips, then we can definately achieve democracy at scale. Anyone who tells us otherwise is laughing their way to the bank by trying to con us that ridiculous levels of wealth inequality are somehow natural.
We deserve better. It is true that money talks - but our votes talk louder, This election is our chance to turf out those corporations who are trying their best to cement their stanglehold on officials and elected representative. Let's kick them out now, before it's too late.
Big win for our friends at 'Ours not Mine' and other community leaders: SirenGold’s permit application to open a mine near pristine waterways at Sams Creek has been DECLINED! It comes after mass community opposition to the proposed mine, led by local group ‘Ours not Mine’ and others.
Extractive corporates want us to think a fairer, healthier, more collective world is impossible. But a better future isn't just a possibility; it's human nature!

This Cambridge expert tells it how it is. It's time to cap or tax wealth - external motivations arn't the key driver of innovation anyway!
Together, we can still take action to protect the climate, and all of us who rely on it.
We get: A century of poisoned rivers, contaminated drinking water, and a huge clean-up bill. They get: Record profits for overseas shareholders Yeah, nah.
It took less than a week for nature and the climate to WIN against potential mining (including coal) smack bang in the middle of a UNESCO heritage site. Nature - 1 Shane Jones - 0 What else can we win on next?
It's hard to breathe under the chokehold that mining lobbyists have on this government Together, we can break the grip of the fossil fuel lobby, and elect a government that protects the air we breath, the water we drink, and the places we love.
Here in Aotearoa, fossil fuel imports drain our economy at a rate of over $20 billion per year - and that is before the war-fuelled fuel shocks.
