worst part about coming back to work after everything that happened at that godforsaken factory isn't even the exhaustion. everyone at the company genuinely thought i was going to die down there, made bets on it, and now that i'm back... no one even looks at me different. that’s sooo cool.
calling me a soldier makes my work sound far more noble than it actually is but i appreciate it man.

keep getting asked why i just roll over and take it when my manager gives me these insane shifts instead of just quitting. Haha. i don’t know. just easier to keep my head down and say yes. arguing always just makes things worse. you fight back, and suddenly you’re the bad guy for making them mad.
hit the nail on the head, honestly. that’s probably really why i shoved all of it in my pockets in the first place, now that i’m thinking about it... it just felt .. wrong, you know ? leaving it all down there to rot and … be forgotten . the guy who owned the manor, edwin... he made so much +
